Attic insulation is the barrier between your roof and your home. Roofing materials retain heat given off by the sun which causes your roof to “bake”, much like a hot sidewalk. With high quality attic insulation your home will reflect exterior heat but also prevent cool air from the inside of your home from escaping.

After a certain period of time the cellulose or fiberglass that your insulation is made from “settles” causing it to be no longer effective.
