Aloha. My name is Ken Starr and I’d like to introduce you to our locally-owned air conditioning company on the island of Oahu and Kauai—Island Comfort. I’m sure you might have seen our blue “Snoopy” van and trucks driving around the island and may have wondered, “Who in the world are THESE guys”?

Well, here’s our story. My wife Teena and I picked up our two boys and took what we thought would be a short vacation to Hawaii. But then we discovered Kauai. We fell in love with this place instantly and knew it would be the perfect place to slow down and raise our kids. We had no intentions to start another business. Our heart was to get involved in this wonderful community and give our family a fresh start away from the hustle and bustle of Southern California.

But then, we kept hearing our friends and neighbors mentioning how difficult it was to find good help on the island. Well, our heart is to use our experience and God-given abilities to help others and make a difference in their lives. I’m a third generation heating and air conditioning contractor so I naturally saw that this could be our contribution. 

What drives us to help is our faith. Our goal is to bring affordable services to you with quality and integrity and give back to this community that has already given so much to us.
